Reservations are now closed. To help mitigate forest fire potential and create defensible space around homes, the Town of Nederland PROSAB, the Indian Peaks Forest Alliance, and PeaktoPeakWood.org are sponsoring a Community Curbside Slash Pick-Up project on Saturday, October 10.
- What: curbside slash chipping and pole pick-up in Nederland neighborhoods (inside of Town limits)
- When: Saturday, October 10
- How: fill out the reservation form below and stack slash and poles at the end of your drive before the pick-up day
- Slash: no slash larger than 6" diameter; stack slash butt ends toward road where truck can access it; consolidate with neighbors
- Poles: you should have at least three poles minimum 4" diameter in 8'3" and 16'3" lengths, with ends cut square and limbs cut flush with the bark (see specs at PeaktoPeakWood.org); consolidate with neighbors; try to avoid stacking pole wood under power lines
