Mayor Abu-Haidar and the Board of Trustees would like to invite all Town staff and interested community members to come welcome Alisha Reis, our new Town Administrator, next Tuesday evening, September 7th, in the Community Center multi-purpose room, at 6:15PM (just preceding the BOT meeting).  There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to get to know Alisha a little bit more.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!  See you there!

The Nederland skatepark is hosting a benefit to help build a skatepark in nearby Ward.  Sponsored by Ward Trustee Wade Henderson, the fun will include music, skating contests, and a barbeque.  Come on by and support our neighbor Town's efforts!

The Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration in the best German tradition on First Street. Come enjoy the live music, beer, and a home-brewer's competition. Lots of good fun to be had by all!

Teens Inc. is hosting another wonderfulfamily day activity on Guercio Ballfield. Windfest is an afternoon of kitemaking and kiteflying for kids of all ages! Come down to the ballfield and enjoy the kites! It's fun, it's colorful, and it's FREE!

The Town of Nederland has joined Boulder County and Transition Colorado in urging citizens to participate in Eat Local! Week!

The Board of Trustees recently approved a proclamation in support of Eat Local! Week - an opportunity for Boulder County citizens to explore and celebrate the abundance of local food, highlighting local family farms and farmers’ markets, along with the restaurants, grocers, and organizations which support them. The BOT's proclamation is attached below.
