Boulder County to Review Code for Small Wind and Other Renewable Uses

Under:

On May 14, the Boulder County Board of Commissioners will consider amendments to the Land Use Code concerning small wind turbines and solar energy collectors.  Changes are proposed to existing use classifications, and new use classifications are proposed as well.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, third floor of the Boulder County Courthouse, 1325 Pearl St., Boulder. To view detailed information and documentation regarding the proposed
code changes, visit
http://www.bouldercounty.org/lu/code_updates/wind_generators.

Boulder County supports the transition to renewable energy sources as one of the key actions adopted in the countywide Sustainable Energy Plan. Not all land use regulations, however, have allowed property owners to be as flexible with how and where renewable energy systems are implemented.
